I have a metal clad crabtree starbreaker board which i'm planning on using rcbos with how do you remove the red tab?

you don't. it's there for a reason. it's the only thing i don't like about these boards. you can't reconfigure the layout.
 
thanks telectrix thought it wasnt just me being dumb but didnt want to force to hard do you know if you can buy a 20 way fully open busbar can check with citys on monday but aim to source elsewhere

maybe OP is including 4 ways for the 2 rcd's
