UK Stange cable type - rewire?

Hi all, hope everyones well during this strange time!
I went to a flat today (50s build ish) to do a visual/basic check with the aim to advise on the condition, rectify the obvious and get things to a standard where it would pass a condition report and be safe to let.
Apart from some obvious issues (10mm tails dissapearing into concrete floors) I found a cable type that I'm struggling to advise on. It's a large flat black cable but the cores look like t and e. My first thought was vir which I've seen plenty of times but this isnt it. It is solid core copper. They have used solid green CPC sleeving so it shows the age but it seems to be doing really well on IR tests which again makes me think it's not rubber as I've never seen this in good condition. Could anyone with experience of this advise please. I've been in the game a fair few years now but not seen this.

It's like a kind of pre-wired semi-flexible conduit with singles in separate compartments, designed to be run through concrete. If the visible insulation is OK at the fittings I don't see any reason to replace it. The name is on the tip of my tongue and is going to bug me now...

Hi, Does anyone recognise this cable? Within it is all twin & earth but the externals are different colours (orange for 2.5, blue for 1.5 etc.). I believe someone told me this cable was specifically for being plastered over. Inside the cores have a lot of free air. If I know what it's called I...

Another name was "cable-con" it was supposed to be re-wirable.
I helped install this in 72 when starting as an apprentice. I pity anyone trying to re-wire this. It must have saved my boss a packet installing this rather than conduit, in the block of flats we used it on.

if it looks OK wher you can see it and tests come back good (continuity and IR), then it's good to continue in service (at least until payment clears. ).

That's great cheers. All looks ok with it and would be a case of boarding concrete ceilings to rewire so id rather avoid although the client is keeping this place very long term so will ask the question. Learn something new every day
