working as electrician in uk....plss help..its important

hello guys..
i want to ask u a question.i hope someone answer me about it
im non eu citizenship..i just came to uk..im an electrician.i finished technical universty in my country..i have diploma..and i was working hotel in my country before coming uk..
this is my question::::::uk dont accept my diploma;;how can i work as electrician in uk?do i have to go to a course or training?

Search Results first step is to contact the C&G and see if you can change your qualifications over. Just out of interest what country have you come from?

The law governing non EU people from working in this country has changed and unless you are one of the professions which are on the list then I don't think you can work as an electrician in this country.

I dont think there is any need to be rude to a new member, I never see such a reply when a UK spark is looking to go overseas?

In answer to your questions if you contact city and guilds (City & Guilds | UK home) they will tell you if your qualification is equivilant to what you would need here. It is likely that you would need to sit a UK exam but they will tell you what you need.

All one of the admins needs to do is check the IP address of the OP and then see if it matches against any existing members. In fact I think that vBulletin (the software that this site runs on/with) has that ability built-in.

Maybe the OP is genuine, maybe not. It just seems a bit too much of a co-incidence given that we not long ago had a rant about the standard of English and grammar, that we get on here....

I know I was harsh but I’ve worked with non EU “fitters” before, they were useless and dangerous, I’m talking from very bitter experience. No sense of basic H&S requirements. One dammed near killed me because he wouldn’t admit he didn’t understand what I’d told him!

A basic grasp of written and spoken English should be there.

Tony in both of your posts we know what you mean. If this question is so important to this chap he will come back and reply, but I doubt it. Why do people think that all the streets in the UK are pathed with gold? They must be seeing those "£50k p/a" adverts.

i speak 3... however speaking and writing are totally different.
,also not a good idea to try and insult someone.
