Discuss Adding fused spur for bathroom extactor in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Course you are right but its most probably a class 2 plastic fan off a light circuit so realistically what would you expect him or any one to test, no disrespect intended

The existing circuit for suitability for alteration as well as the required tests for the alterations.
He was also on about adding in a FCU and fan isolator.

Just to clear this up - obviously highly skilled task, with specialist equipment needed. What specific qualification/certificates would any prospective electrician doing the job need to have and I'll make sure to check?

Hes connecting a fan to a light, as long as he is reasonably sensible he will be fine. Sometimes it' easy to be over petantic

And I'm in jamacia and drunk so I shoulnt be doing this so I need to move away from the forum, love you all x

Your arguement of if you ever have to look something up make you incompetent is stupid.
Yeh i didnt know how to do a windsor knot.....i googled it..
But that hasnt got the potential to kill me or anyone else. There's a reason people spend years becoming competent at this...

Notice some one made the comment that if you knew what you were doing you wouldn't be asking advice on this forum. Does that mean any one who comes on here asking for advice is the same?
