Hi, are these companies on the con? I ask as I applied through full circle 2 months ago before I found this site for trainee electrician and I've heard nothing since. I have tried to get on level 2-2330 at my local college and it's not happening so it seems after just 70 days training with these guys in europes state of the art training centre I could be a fully edge(on paper) sparky? So what's the catch? Any news on them for people to be aware of? I've done a google search and all it does is bring up all the job adverts around uk of same advert. I think my dream of becoming a sparky is dead in the water now :(

why cant you get in through your local college, id say all courses are good, no matter who you train with, but the shorthaand courses require knowledge and expierience to get the best out of them, ÂŁ50 a year i pay for my course which is 1 day per week,4hrs practical, 4hrs theory, its slow but the waay i like to train not fuc ;)

Well it's unavailable to apply for online so I wrongly assumed it was full. I rang them this afternoon and they told me what to do and it's 3 years to complete level 2&3 if I pass exams.....got to pass an assessment first yet and the interview so gonna apply tonight after work and see how it goes fingers crossed I'll have something to look forward to soon.

is this a evening / weekend course and do you need to be employed to take this course??

I am at college 2 full days a week so I could get it done in one year instead of two. There is an evening course that runs two evenings a week but as I have just done my first exam I am sure its similar elsewhere in the country you would struggle to get on a course now. Best thing to do is get in touch with your local college and see what they are planning next year. And I am not in the industry yet.

will you need to be employed when you do the level 3?
Not sure yet, you do for the NVQ which is going to be run along side the level 2 and level 3 in the future but C&G have just extended the time limit to 2013 so I may just get it. If you havent started yet though you might struggle.
