Hi everyone,

I was emailed a job today, with a PIR attached. What I couldn't belive is that a ELECSA registed Electrician had written down as an observation.

"INSUFFICIENT SOCKETS FOR MODERN DAY LIVING" Code 2

Any thoughts??

Andy

Sounds bit harsh but it is recommended if theres trailing extension leads thro doorways or windows etc ,,, common sense normally provails so maybe at the time of the pir there was a lot of demand ..
i often see in the odd council house 1 socket in the living room 1 in the kitchen and 1 upstairs ,,,,,extension leads everywhere ... who knows ... there are also recommendations in onsite guide on how many points should be per area etc etc so maybe this guy had a point ,

Not really a 2 although it could be argued that it does require improvement.

Personally, i would maybe '4' it. Not to current BS.

His code is wrong,no code and a recomendation to address this would be more appropriate
His sentiments are correct, not very well described though
