Domestic Sprinkler System Help

I would take that on advice straight from the people who are going to commission the system before they get there, if anything like ours they are nationwide & travelled along way to commission if not ready you will be charged for a revisit.

It would be the line that I would take.

It was just that in the O.P. states does not want to start making holes in finished houses, it is the sprinkler that sets off smoke alarm sounders and I thought that it was allowed to wire smoke alarms interlink wireless if not Aico would not manufacture them.

The fact that a domestic install requires sprinklers in the first place suggests that there is a need for a higher standard of fire safety systems than is normal for domestic.
Therefore it wouldn't be sensible to just assume that the normal systems are acceptable, there could be a requirement for it to be all hard wired and not use wireless connections.

just done sprinkler system for new builds, system being commissioned by others but some tight requirements.
1st they required their own board was not happy being on the non RCD side on high integrity board.
2nd from consumer unit to the sprinkler system required FP200 fire alarm cable for power.
3rd Aico smoke alarms wired as normal but with a relay card (input type) on one of the alarms so when interconnected it sends signal.
so we had to install second board just for sprinkler system.
4th we did not know at the time but water pressure for the houses & flats did not have enough pressure so a pump was required also.

Marc with this setup using fp200 etc this again is a water mist system introduced under new EN54 regs. for HMO, nursing homes and hotels. If it ware a sprinkler system, you would require a large reserve water storage tanks, multi pumps and jocky pumps. I would imagine that the system installed is a boxed compressor unit straight off mains water, with pipe work in pvc 20mm and all cabling FP200. A sprinkler system would never be activated by detectors, but a water mist is, as the damage resulting in activation is minimal, and can be cleaned and dry out within hours. unlike the litres of water pumped out by a sprinkler head. Its worth a read up as water mist systems are becoming widely used. They can even be built into kitchen water tapes.

Had a word with the sprinkler guy on the phone, he's happy enough with
a standalone sounder for the sprinkler system. I don't need to worry about
getting a cable to one of the smokies.

As of now I have know info or spec sheet for the flow switch etc, I was supposed to get all this info by email but I've never received it.

Anyone any advice on how to connect the flow switch? the switch has 2 sides both have "no" "nc" and "common" volt free connections.
