All I ever fit these days is fire rated recessed gu10 down lights.... so cheap now...

But a customer has gone and brought a load of non-fire rated, am I right in thinking that fire rated are only required when fitted below a habital area ?

Thank u,

Sy

Yes kinda.

They should be used between fore compartments, ie integral garage with rooms above or between floors in flats etc.

But between floors in a house, they are fine.
