Installing downlights in bedroom.

Can you help me? I am about to install 5 12V downlights. I am not sure wether I need to use trunking in the loft or it is enough that I use thermal resistant cable and put it on top of the insulation. What do you think might be the best solution?

check the Hales website they have a @Savings calculator@ it shows best saving are deffo commercial setting adjustable paramiters
