Hi just wondered what price u would charge to gland one end of a piece of armoured 4 core gland already supplied and connect to a battery charging unit for a staker truck took me 45 mins in total i was thinkin £45 or is that too much or too little

yes only job i was doing just had to gland unit and fix to a wall gland a 415 plug was already supplied just supplied 3 meters of 4 core armoured

As a certified BICSI data engineer.

I sometimes get call outs for simple broken outlets max £5 materials, 30 mins on site.

My minimum is always £60 to business - £40 residential.

£15 thats way too cheap, granted I don't live in Manchester but even so, call out for commercial round my way south west london would be nearer £75 for the first hour plus parts. I don't know what the rates are for around there sure someone will give you a better idea who's nearer to you.

They are down here too!,living cost are higher so we aren't that much better off honestly Plus on commercial they can claim it back as a business expense, so I have no sympathy.

Yes, if it's local & materials are just a couple of quid I do it for that.

Generally it opens the door to remedial works - moves and changes, etc.

Was that glanding armoured cable into a 415V plug? what cable SWA or SY type? I surely must have read it wrong.

ffs when i was working for a firm doing supermarkets I got £20 for the first call plus my rate at what ever portion was prevelant at the time ie time n half double ect my boss charged £50 a call during the day £75 at all other times plus prevelant rate

At £15 id expect a lot of calls
