Discuss Problem with Citroen Dispatch Van in the Auto Electrician Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I've recently bought a Dispatch van and the airbag lights permanently on. The guy I bought it from said he removed the relay to fit to another van although he didn't mention it when I bought it. As he is based miles away, I want to replace it myself but don,t really know where it is . Some of you lads may have the same van so any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Even when its replaced the light will usually stay on as it sees the missing relay as a fault and disables the system.

All the relays are usually plugged into the main fuse box

Is the main fusebox behind the glove box and when its replaced, how do I get the light to go off. Thanks mate.

Only time it happened to me, after turning the ignition on without the airbag connected, took it to the garage I use all the time. Think I paid 25 quid for the privilege. Mine a Berlingo though and it is in the fuse box in the engine bay

Yep that will probably have to be coded in. Have a word with your local garage, but try ringing your local Citroen guys up first they may be able to do it on warranty or even may do it for you if you explained you bought it off someone who didn't tell you what he's done.

I hate modern cars, you can't do a thing with them.

so, rocker, you'd be happy to buy my ford anglia van then???

Ha ha, p'raps not! I've avoided anything post-2001 for work so far, though. Mind you, with the road extortion rates as they are, I may be forced to modernise soon.
