Hi, I want to put downlights in my fire surround - possibly 3 but more likely going to be 2. They are 0.4w LED lights. I have a 12v 8w LED driver with a 6 way TOP connector on the end. I want to add an on/off rocker switch but I'm confused as to whether I need an SPST or an SPDT switch for this. Any advice would be much appreciated.
 
Both will switch them on and off but the SPDT can be three position, on-off-on so you need to remember which way to switch it so SPST is best. Are you switching the 12v side if so then the driver is permanently powered.
