What's the score with these?

On a job at the moment and a plumbers put in a direct unvented immersion. He wants me to connect it up. Read manufacturers instructions and seems to be no issues for me. It provides a wiring diagram. A simple feed to each element. Via a boost and ECO7. Also just states a competent electrician.

I've looked into it further though and it states you must be G3 qualified to install them? Now does this mean wire them up too or just the plumbing side? It needs to be signed off to building g control. (Not sure this guy is G3 qualified).

anyway on further reading to enroll on a G3 course you need all kinds of Gas experience and qualifications, meaning us sparkies can't even enrol.

so what's the script do we just stay away from them and provide a fused spur? Or can we wire them up under our governing bodies. Seems to be a grey area for us sparks.

Just the plumbing side needs to be G3.
Pressurised system, far more chance of explosion etc, so needs more knowledge than a normal vented system, but, ime, it doesnt seem to stop many plumbers without the training doing it anyway.
