Hi I read on an old thread from BruceB that voltage drop should be added to the local mains voltage to find out what the voltage will be at the output terminals of the inverter.

I have a situation on a 50kw system with 3 X SMA 15000TL where 2 work fine however the 3rd is generating a lot less than the other 2. The customer says it cuts out and I suspect it is because of upper voltage shut down.

The cable run is a good 200 meters so it could be cable drop but why are 2 out of 3 working?

Any solutions welcome.

Thanks

The basics that spring to mind are:
- measure output voltages at each inverter on a sunny day when all arrays equally illuminated to see if there is a difference;
- or make it dead and measure cable resistances to compare;
- log on with sunny explorer and check the grid protection parameters are set identically on each inverter.
Regards
Bruce

If the parameters have been factory set to something other that G83 (which for your use they should be at G59/2) you'll need a Grid Gaurd code from SMA to be able to login and see those parameters.
