Hi just a quick one for you,if you had your tranny plugged into that extention lead then I would buy a 110 lead, the tranny should be plugged into wall and everything from there onward should be 110v otherwise it kind of defeats the point of using 110v gear also some people could get funny if an accident occurred (hse insurance etc) not having a dig just trying to give you a heads up before the event.

trannys on extentions...mad innit...lol...and it may mean you end up carting the damn thing around with you n all....lol....

Yes Glenn now you and I both know the reasons for using 110 gear don,t we? but why on diy sos and the like do they run a 240 to bottom of garden and then have tranny at side of where they are working, where are the h&s bods?

110 lead in cellar at home good advice though, it is getting a bit heavy.
haven't enough space for end boxes on galv, no stocks and dies, no clamp, not much monney!
any alternatives? could i just cut to length deburr and leave?

the weight of the thing was just me being my usual sarky self.....the real reason for not trailing extentions carrying nominal around is very real though......if you have the ability to get a max 55V to earth potential....then wouldn`t it be prudent to use it?....
