They havent had RSJ's put in if knocking through walls or extensions etc? wouldnt be first property where somebody decides to bond the RSJ or a cable gets caught on it during its run.

An isolated RSJ should not affect the reading.

All sockets have been disconneted except for the skts up stairs had every skt off dis the met earth still showing earths thier. no cable touching any pipe work up stairs had most of the floors up .

Check voltage from line ,to earth you socket tester may be giving you a false indication of a earth , by the way is it a good idea to remove the cpc then make the circuit live ? , and what is the issue here , you have a parallel earth path? Ps now i know my spelling is bad but maybe you should take off your space gloves so you may have a better chance of hitting the correct letters ☺

I wouldn't rely on a plug tester for anything.
Perhaps there is supplementary bonding somewhere, it used to be taken off the nearest cpc.

Seen plenty of old installs with water bond straight off cooker circuit cpc in the switch.

I'm confused here as well. All cpc's and earthing has been disconnected from the Consumer Unit, and you have now energised the circuits?

Surely not?
