A client is converting his house back into a house with one domestic C.U. Previously this was divided into flats from a 3 phase header. Each flat has it’s own meter (4 in all).
I suggested he get the distributer to remove the extra meters and cap 2 of the phases.
He said he would like to keep the 3 phase as his wife has a 3 phase kiln and would like to use this in the garage.
I am thinking of placing a 3 phase incomer down stream of the meters and supplying the house C.U. from one phase and the kiln from a triple pole CB from the same incomer (via connection block if necessary).
I would also put an isolator at the garage end in an enclosure, see pic.
Would this be an acceptable solution?
