hi every one how are u all on this nice sunny day?. i was just wondering if if any one could help me are the people who work on the distribution side of electrics (like on the power lines) are fully quilified electricians? or do you have to do a total different course to do this form of electrics?

Your right a wireman's course is very different to an electricians course, and i think also rated in voltage bands. Not sure, but i think the base line was LV to 11KV... But there are a few guy's here that work for DNO's etc so they will know better than i...
 
There's not much call for PATesting on 11kv.:cheesy:

And a consumer unit on 133kv is going to need a good earth bond to the water main.:devilish:

I'd guess that more than 50% of training is about Safe Systems of Working.
