Just needed some ideas, any of you got thoughts on best type of timers out there...got shop front , guy wants his outside caneope lights and inside display lights comin on with timer when shop closed. not sure of load yet, but there like 9 or 10 LV dwn lghts and a strip light i think he got himself to be boxed in his caneope all needing new circuit with this timer included....just thinking best way to do. and timers on market. 1st commercial number i had...He got 2 x wylex dual rcd boards with spares....he 1st floor board in basement...so ideally he wants to control where he is ....

anyway many many thanks

Hi There

We have used SANGAMO ROUND PATTERN time switches for shop lighting they are good, but they are expensive, around £123,other way we have done it is din rail mounting time switch and modular relay both dorman smith, watch cheap time sws some only rated for resistive loads and fluorescent fitting with chokes are inductive and can weld contacts together, have a chat with your local supplier they should have something.

Thanks the bassman, yeah gone for the din rail BUT yes as you say i gotta watch out for the resistive loads, thing is its both i believe, i got a proteus (yes cheap) as their boards are proteus...and as per the instructs. specs are awful.....it says glow lamp load 1000w i am taking that as resistive ...being glow lamp....mayb wrong guess need check.....its the single mod with timer dial...on side......
