Hi everyone,

I’m new on this site, but started in the trade back in 1981

Looking at the interesting subject of EV chargers and the impact of BS7671 : 2018 is having regarding not using PME and installing earth rods at the load end.

Not much to it in all honesty. Put a rod in as even if its TNS at the property, you need the dno to confirm its TNS back to transformer/sub station. They seem very reluctant to give this confirmation. So with the 18th edition ruling out PME in any case. Its best to just plan the job from the start with intent to put a rod in.
