Pulling Main Fuse

Hi All,

Obviously I have never pull the main fuse, but out of interest does anyone know where you can get the saftey inserts from... the orange/red ones the meter guys/DNO carry to 'plug' the hole whilst the fuse is pulled...

Any links etc would be good........ just for reference obviously.

yeah I might know some one that has done that in the past...... cant remember who though !!!

make sure, though, that the safety holder does not have a fuse/nail/whatever in it before fitting in the carrier.

Buy an empty fuse carrier and keep it in your van saves keep removing the fuse, in theory if you was ever going to do it . :detective:

Or relock the cupboard - if there is a door and lock!

I pop the fuse then pull the tails from meter, then pop the fuse back in, get to work on the board and get new tails ready, out with the fuse again via the meter seal fairy then connect up

Was just asking about shrouds etc.... Not asking about the rights or wrongs of it or seals.....just if you wish to do so then sourcing the correct equipment is only a good thing right?
