Hi guys

I'm just wondering if anyone had deal with Stand alone systems?
Basically for me it is not very clear what is classified as a "Stand Alone System"?

I know in other contries the Stand Alone Systems refer to Off Grid Systems, but in the UK everything must be a little complicated. Here is how ofgem describe Stand Alone System:

[FONT=&quot]"not attached to a building and not wired to provide electricity to an occupied building".

What in the case the Generated Electricity from PV system is feed directly to the grid? (something like PV solar farms, but PV system would be installed on the roof - 50kW), feeding directly to the grid is cheaper option for the client.

Does anyone have any about similar installations?

For me it is clear enough that this must be standard PV system , but unfortunately second line of ofgem definition keep me confused.
Maybe we should bring 3 phase system in and connect it to the building (I need to say that the buidling will not be occupied, it would be used as a storage for livestock/machineries).

Please make some comments, I'm very open to your advice.

Thanks in advance

Stand-alone (autonomous) solar photovoltaic (not attached to a building and not wired to provide electricity to an occupied building)

In simple terms standalone means that it is not connected directly to an local load source on the same MPAN, so therefore is simply a generating plant in its own right.
