My Veritas R8 Excel panel recently developed a power fault and I have replaced the entire unit and reprogrammed it. I can part set the alarm when going to bed and unset in the morning. When I wanted to go out and the exit door was open I could not part set the panel. The keypad did nothing and did not bleep. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change or program. The control panel is in the hall, there is also a PIR in the hallway set to Inhibited Entry and then the final exit door.

I haven't seen this before.

Regards,
Steve...

Is the exit door set to final exit? Not sure about veritas as i haven't used them but on pyronix there is immediate set and timed set, may possibly need to be set to timed set to allow you to leave

Thank you for your reply I will look at the installation guide. I've programmed the same model twice before and it was OK. Maybe the newer firmware is different? Setup wise nothing has changed and all PIR's etc., are the same as before.

Regards,

Steve.
