Thanks, very useful. I have to say this forum is a minefield of quality info in as much as I dont think I would have passed my MCS assessment without the excellent info I have obtained from this site. Thanks to all that contribute.

Hi Ted and many thanks for all the thought provoking post's , an absolute wealth of information !
Am i right in thinking this means we are now working too G59-2-1 as from yesterday , and if so how do you think this will affect a 82 kw sharp thin film with fronious cl range inverters we started yesterday ?
I know i should contact the DNO for this information but i still have a bruise on my forehead from the last time i tried to discuss ANYTHING pv related !!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to be pain but i have the feeling you will probably know more anyway .

Many thanks Dave

If the inverter already complies with G59/2 then it will also comply with G59/2-1.

The pre-existing fixed limit of 20mA for DC injection has been raised to 0.25% of the AC current rating of the device - so the new limit is higher than the previous one.

I think the main reason for the change is to allow inverter manufacturers to alter their designs for future products.

Thank you Ted that has put my mind at rest Little , well until the next hurdle that is !
