A client is converting his house back into a house with one domestic C.U. Previously this was divided into flats from a 3 phase header. Each flat has it’s own meter (4 in all).
I suggested he get the distributer to remove the extra meters and cap 2 of the phases.
He said he would like to keep the 3 phase as his wife has a 3 phase kiln and would like to use this in the garage.
I am thinking of placing a 3 phase incomer down stream of the meters and supplying the house C.U. from one phase and the kiln from a triple pole CB from the same incomer (via connection block if necessary).
I would also put an isolator at the garage end in an enclosure, see pic.
Would this be an acceptable solution?

If you have 3 phase, use it and keep it balanced!!
Tpn board, with rcbos for the necessary ccts??

Get rid of the 4 x 1ph meters and get a single 3ph meter in.
The customer will get 4 bills otherwise.

Hello to the OP.

Not meaning to be rude in anyway, but are you an electrician? Only reason for asking is your question is rather simple for an electrician, especially if you are competent to work on a 3 phase system.

Others may well disagree, but just thinking of your own safety.

I am not exactly a 5.W.W. but I did leave the industry for a number of years and re-trained as Part P 2 years ago. Most domestic jobs are single phase but I know how to deal with 3 phases when I come across it. I do not know everything though and new materials and practices are happening all the time.
Most of this job will concern the distributer taking out the meters and installing a 3 phase isolator.
The rest is going to be the installation of a 17th edition single phase board for the house and running a multi-core armoured cable to the garage for the kiln.
There will of course be load factors to be taken into account.

Yes, I think this sounds like a sensible option. The Incomer and board is going to be moved to a new location (about 2m away from where it is now)
