What do you think? I've come across a damaged distribution cable while on another job, it's a 10mm t&e and there's a tiny bit of bare copper showing on the line. I immediately thought I'd run a new feed and replace it as the run's only about 12 meters but as the customer is complaining about having to spend out I'm wondering whether I could joint the cable in some way that would be acceptable above a false ceiling?

Do they even make choc-blocks big enough for 10mm cable? :D

Yes it will always be accessible. I wasn't too sure about using a junction box for a dis circuit but I suppose it should be ok, just not as tidy as pulling a new cable through. Would you minor works it and do an R1+R2 on the cable? Can't see it needs any more than that

Junction box should be ok as long as it is fixed, accessible and the cable sheath contained within.. I would also suggest an insulation test given the nicked wire, there may be other unknown damage to the insulation elsewhere.
