fake money detector

hi folks, im just wondering if any of your customers has asked you to have a look at a money detector. do you have any expieriences with these things.

i have taken the machine apart and checked continuity around the circuit, would the starter inside have to be rated as close to bulb size . its says on side 6w bulb but the strter is rated at 13w,25w-65w????

it also goes through a transformer of some sort can these be replaced, be great if someone know to fix or dump.thxxx

Just buy a new UV light. Their cheap enough for a 9” unit!

ended up buying new 1, but will still hold on to other one case i find the part ithink i need. even tho i dont even know what the part is or called.

Find a good dance / rave shop and you’ll pick up a 6” long UV unit for about £8 + 4AA batteries. We used them all the time.
