Doing an install on a fibre cement barn roof (doesn't contain asbestos) and I'm wondering what the best roof access method is with regards to crawling boards etc? Are there good ones available to buy? Is it easy to make some? Just using ply etc with rubber underneath?

Many thanks

To be honest a good bit of inch ply across the purlins , in my opinion is far better than a shop brought crawl board , but having said that when needed they are what we use .
Crawl boards or not , we wont touch the job without nets as well !

Thanks for the advice. Will the ply wood not want to slide off the roof? Do you hire the nets or get someone in to install them for you?
Cheers in advance

The roofers / erectors that install the kit on the commercial jobs have there own nets and loaders / lifting gear to do all this and the (more importantly) tickets for it all.
The nets are not actually that expensive !
