Hi,
Been registered on here for a while but thought I should finally introduce myself. Have almost completed a home-based domestic electrician's course. Done the BPEC Level A Full Scope and Level B defined scope, C&G 2393, 17th Edition and C&G 4141-01. Just have the testing and inspection practical and the some of the units from C&G 2382-12 to do. Would really like to gain some work experience, preferably with a renewable energy focus, so trying decide what the best route forwards is. Would appreciate any advice.
Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Are we that scary that you waited 6 months to post something?? We are all nice people here... Well most of us are...
Good look getting some work experience, there are lots of people looking for it out there.

Get a job as a mate, if possible - that's the way forward, for you.

Welcome to the forum. None of us bite, we're nice guys. And the one's that would like to bite, can't - because they're coffin dodgers with false nashers ha.

Welcome to the forum pull up a chair and have a seat. Good luck. As already said get a job as a mate. You learn more of them.:p

you missed out the zimmer frame. and that has just jogged the altzeimers into remembering that i lent it to geordie. cheers.

well thanks for the warm welcome - ha! You're not as scary as I thought, just crazier!!! Hadn't realised it's been 6 months since I joined. The bad experience I had with the home-based course is what's shut me up for so long :disappointed:

Notice that all the jobs for mates around here ask for experience. My experience is limited to the training centre and even then most of that was cramming theory. Is there a thread here where I should post if I'm looking for an electrician (preferably with all their parts) in Humberside willing to take on an inexperienced mate? Would just like to get some practical experience that hopefully doesn't involve any long stands or being shut under floorboards...
