Im 2391, 2330 , 2382 qualified. and i do want to continue training ( string to bow n all that ) .

Was considering the solar pv course which is £500 for a weeks training , test etc.

Is it really worth it ? im not looking to start solar pv company myself, but is there much work available subbing etc? is it gunna fade out ( or maybe it already has ) would it be a waste of £500 bucks and a week off work ?

10-20GWp installed target by 2020 says it's not going to fade away entirely, but we're certainly in a serious rough patch, so your timing isn't great and there's lots of competition around with more experience.

that said, there's now over 300,000 buildings with PV installed, so it can't hurt to be trained in it as you'll be coming across it more and more in standard sparkying work anyway.

It may be an idea from a general interest point of view, but in terms of wether it is financially viable, you would be better off chucking £20 notes on a brazier in your front room and saving some heating costs!
