Hi all

Is there a regulation in the bgb that states you cannot come off the main switch to feed another db, not that I want to do this I've just come across it being done today

if you mean from the incoming side of the switch, then it's a no-no. that's because there is not a single point of isolation for the installation. apart from the fact that cores are usually cut off to make the piggy back cables fit in the terminal ( had that yesterday on one. 10mm tails with all but 2 of the strands cut off.

Other than the fact you have to cut cores isn't it the same as using Henley blocks but using incoming side of main switch.

If you want to be absolutely correct, as soon as you want/need to install Henley blocks, an up-front isolator should first be installed!!

Don't post the same question twice. It just annoys.

Handy sparks have I upset you, or do you generally have nowt better to add to the conversation, it's called a forum, and if it wasn't for people posting these kind of questions probably people like you may never know the answer. Have a good day.

Yup, but 99% of installs with Henleys blocks won't have isolators either!

And
These "properties" have more than one installation (added shower maybe)

Each installation. with its own main isolator

Yes mate, you have. There's enough rubbish on these forums without reading the same question twice. If you take the trouble to answer one of these threads and then find it's been answered already on the other thread, it just makes you think 'why bother?'.

Well if you want to know I considered this question to be related to. Both topics, and if I remember correctly you didn't answer anything, so if you can bring something positive to the table then go ahead.

Meow. Carry on like that and your membership of the forum could be brief.
