Discuss Narrow panels - MCS certified? in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Does anyone know any panels that are around 600mm or less wide? I've been searching everywhere and can't seem to find anything.

Any help would be appreciated

I doubt you'll manage to find many. Panels designed for grid-connected arrays panels usually come in two formats: 72 x 5 Inch cells (180-190 Wp) or 60 x 6 inch cells (210-260 Wp). With these formats the panels will necessarily be at least 750mm wide.

Try with this Kyocera panel, it is MCS accredited and it's approx 650mm wide (only 135 W though): http://www.kyocerasolar.eu/index/pr...download.tmp/KD135GH-2PU_Eng_October 2011.pdf

Dulas and Bright Green Energy should sell it.

We're trying to find a solution for a zinc roof which is as aesthetically pleasing as possible. The 600mm panels would fit in nicely with the 600mm zinc panels.

Thanks for the help. I still can't find anything less than 600mm.

could you do anything with romag's 600mm slate replacement panels?

they're frameless I think, but are the only 600mm panels I know of.

Thanks for the different suggestions, fellas. I'm looking at a few different options now but I'm thinking that laminates may be the way to go. I can't think of a good looking solution for the slate replacements on a zinc roof, unfortunately.
