Hi Hope someone can help
I have 50+ of these things to install on 3/4 circuits
Do I need to use marshalling boxes or can I use loop in loop out and jb to keep emergency live?
also is anyone aware of a site that will work out how many lights I need if I type in the figures ie 13.4m x 6.3m so on so on
Cheers

remember you wiring shouldnt be run over the tiling, personally i use cliks lighting plug/socket assemblies as this means you can fit and make live your circuit before the ceiling is put up then just drop fitting in and plug in on second fix, big time saver in the long run, and a rule of thumb i use to miss 2 tiles between fittings in one direction and 3tiles the other but dependent on job

Hi Piz,

As Darkwood has said, klik boxes supplied with 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 Klik socket outlets, are good and time saving. Each box is 16amp rated and each klik socket is 6 amp rated. You can also get pre wired 3mtr cables with klik plug fitted white for 3 wire and red for 4 wire for emergency. These Marshalling boxes also allow the quick wiring of sensor to control lighting(these are usually rated at 6amp). There other marshalling boxes out there too, but personally I prefer the klik ones.:D

thanks
just installed 3 circuits cant get the head around the click boxes I have a silver screwed connector with 2 links they join aux and loop then
the other link joins swb and swa
I have clicked an emergency light cable to the klik box and tested continuity on the bare end of the 3m flex cpc net sw/l and live
it looks like they are all joined loop/to loop etc
whats the smaller connection block for
surley power in and power out on the main terminals(is it for a switch or sensor)
also black cable must be em light perm live?

Hi piz,

The links allow you to split the Marshalling box into two seperate circuits or switches, the smaller connections are for wiring in sensors and with four core the black is usually the permanent/unswitched live for the emergency lights.

Thanks Big Breakfast
all makes sense now I guess as stated earlier we need to keep cables off the tiles a simple cable tie on the ceiling wires be good enough?just to support cable also I will need to earth each grid I guess this is common practise and paramount

i recently used a system called FlexSeven its ace just connec L1L2 N earth then plug in ready made flexes n a switching module which can be PIR Dimming Linked a lot easier than Kilck boxes
