Hi,
I'm about to install a PV system on my own house to get MCS accredited but i need some advice on the the roof mounting kit.

I will be going for a schuco mounting kit as this seems to be the best from what I've checked out. I know the base sections come in around 6.15 metre lengths (schuco spec sheet) and the suppliers have told me they will charge more for delivery as they're pretty long.

How do most of you order them? Cut down to different lengths to suit array layout or the standard length? Or do some suppliers sell them in smaller lengths and you just connect them together to suit?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I get all ours cut in half and add rail connectors to the order. It does save on delivery even with the cutting fee.

Ditto with ours. It's a good item to buy in bulk - keep it in your stores and pay as little on delivery as possible.

We use SEN comes in 2m lengths, expensive kit but more substantial. We're looking at cheaper kits for less windy areas has anyone compared Renusol with Schuco?
