United Kingdom
What type of forum member are you?
Practising Electrician (Qualified - Domestic or Commercial etc)
Did a periodic today property out in the sticks, solar panels fitted with battery back up. In the met outside cab 2way DB off mains with a RCD main switch.ct1 feed solar panels.ct2 feed to 4 pole iso LN in LN out to supply batteries and batteries LN out back into said iso LN out to 6A rcbo in separate enclosure next to house DB from this 1.0mm t&e into house DB into connectors with 3 lighting circuits 48 lights in total. It's not how I would do it but is this common?

Is there no grid supply for these circuits?
No if you turn solar DB off or turn iso off. You lose all lighting .oh and batteries not giving any back up faulty 2 years old. Plus couple weeks ago rain got into outside light 6A rcbo tripped and also took out solar RCD lost all lights emargency spark came disconnected light & left in working order.

I know batteries are one of the most expensive parts of a solar system there is a less expensive pretty much free source of batteries for your solar system. contact me and i can share.

Go on then, I'm intrigued - where are these pretty much free batteries from?

Although... having said that... I do know that sometimes batteries must be replaced every x months for safety reasons... and are often perfectly serviceable... like a mini-submarine for example ??

Perhaps so. :)

I think the fact he searched for threads to reply to, then deleted his account once people questioned them, rather than saying he had serviced them (like a mini submarine); we were probably right. :D
