Hi everybody can anybody help please all answers will be taken into account for proccessing thanks...

can you please explain to the Newbie (ME) why is the value of external impedance (Ze) required during the design stage of an installation..

THANKS.....

because your Zs value is dependent on the value of Ze. Zs= Ze+(R1+R2)

the value of Zs will determine whether or not your MCB/Fuse will break within the specified disconnection time.

at the design stage, you need the value of Ze to calculate Zs and size cable/s accordingly, knowing the resistance/m of a certain size of cable, and knowing the length of cable run, you can calculate your R1+R2 and hence your Zs.
