Hi all.

Have always kept clear of transformer less inverters due to the need to bond the array however we are about to install several SB3600-TL's as they are predicting great yields etc.

How have you guys gone about bonding the array etc? Any special bonding clamps/fixings due to location etc??
thanks in advance.

I believe the new release of the DTI guide negates the need for this, but I haven't read it yet so maybe someone else could confirm.

It comes down to whether or not the array frame is considered to be an extraneous conductive part or an exposed conductive part. If it is either of these then yes, you do have to continue bonding the array.
However I have taken this from the draft and this could change. In the mean time we have to continue earthing when using TL inverters as per the current guidance.
I personally do this by using external earth clamps around each rail run and bonding between them and then either to a rod or to the earth terminal in the CU depending on the earthing arrangement for the property.
