installing ip 65 gu10 downlighters within 2.25 meter height of zone one.

What are the hard and fast rules because my reading of section 701 does not permit 230v ip 65 downlighters yet I see it everywhere?

What reg is that, haven’t a copy of BS7671 to hand?

Are you saying the ceiling height is less than 2.25m and/or the fitting protrudes below that point?

IP 65, 230V downlighters are permitted in zone 1.

701.55 (xi) Shows that lights are fine in zone 1 as long as IP rated in accordance with 701.512.2.
with you around , why should i pay for a copy of the regs.? o_Oo_Oo_O.

i'd be bankrupt i a month.:p:p
