someone to probably point out the obvious please.

its a few years old and was last calibrated 2013. I have purchased the elecsa test card to avoid paying another £100.00 to calibrate, but i fear its now buggered.

testing on the low ohms range, seems to be all over the place.

join the leads together and null seems ok, but i am getting random readings when i am going through the testing. sometimes i seem to be getting a cumulative total when i test from one to another, and on other occasions the null seems to ineffective.
last time i got this calibrated i had the usual speech about sending the tester off if there were issues with it as they can't really do anything on these. Is it just advisable to change now?
If so what tester is recommended. these are too bloody expensive to keep doing this??

Have you tried a different set of leads? Also a test card should never fully replace a proper calibration

Well if it was mine I would get it looked at, may just need calibrating, worth £100 to find out, better than bunging it away and shelling out for a new one

there's a guy on ebay ,lives in leicester he can fix any megger low cost (70 0dd quid ),did mine, only thing was it was £30 for postage,

Just finished taking ours apart to replace that bloody little internal fuse after some t@t "accidentally" blew it .(why hide one inside as well as the easy one in the battery compartment)
Our 1552 had readings like that and I replaced the module that the leads plug in to + new leads and it's been fine since.

Where do you get the plug module from Meridian911? Megger?

Exactly the same problem with my 1552. Tried three different sets of fused leads now and they're not cheap. The problem persists. I have to re-null my leads every few times....

Yes ordered it direct from Megger, i think it was around 65 quid, it cured our readings jumping up and down straight away.
It comes with flying leads to solder to the board and was pretty easy to solder(im rubbish at soldering so it must be easy)

Im just about to order some of the new leads from megger, has anyone tried them are they better than the old ones ?
