The house in question has all carpets lifted so easy access for running cables. So here's what I've done and to do. Materials were £500.

1. 17 spotlights wired and fitted.

2. 10 additional points in kitchen (sockets, fused spurs, cooker switch) walls chased, conduit installed and wired.

3. 10mm bonding to main water pipe. Approx. 25mtrs.

4. 15way dual rcd consumer unit fitted to replace two old fuse boxes.

5. Extend upstairs ring to include 3 extra sockets. (surface mounted)

6. Corrected landing light borrowed neutral. Was pretty handy to do.

7. All sockets and switches to be replaced throughout. (Approx. 20)

8. 4 new light fixtures to install. Already wired.

9. EIR

As I always seem to undercut myself, I'm hoping that you guys could give me an idea.
I've estimated 60hours to complete the job. Based in N.Ireland and the job is about 30 miles away

Cheers

I don't understand the need for the bullet point list when you've given us your estimated hours and the price of all materials ?

£500 + 15% markup.

60hours x hourly rate (or day rate if you do one)

I hope you mean EIC not EIR (EICR) ?

Then stick on a fuel cost - £30/40?

about £1600 -£1800 all in.

That's around the figure I came in with tel. But then I was thinking it was a bit steep as people say a rewire isn't a kick in the a#se off that price.

stick to it.

If the job was local [say within 10 minutes driving] I'd go with £1750 but as it's 30 miles away you'll be looking at an extra hour each day minimum just for travelling so even doing that very cheaply I'd add on £100 for that, there's a fine line between making what you're worth and being undercut by someone maybe a bit less fussy though...

£2200 for me...

I can't afford you Lee. But all joking aside that's a reasonable enough price for 60 hours of hard work, 60 mile round trips [at least x6 probably] and £500 of materials.

probably cost £10+ a day on fuel alone so i would add 100 ontop of my price just to allow for driving etc
