I'm currently working in an occupation other than electrician and there is a junction box dangling from under a cabinet exactly where the nurses are dispensing medication. The junction box has 2 live cables going into it. I've got an electrician coming in to fix it (as I am not allowed any tools of any kind on these premises) but just wondered if anyone felt like giving me some regulations for the following as I feel like having a bit of a laugh with the chap coming in :biggrin5:

1. cables not correctly supported/junction box dangling (easily accessible)
2. basic insulation exiting the enclosure.
3. hole where one of the cable enters easily big enough to get little finger in and touch live part.

Cheers all :)

all is covered in Bullsh#t 7671.

just look at an EICR - they are all there....you must have a copy of one kicking around

Don't worry about it now chaps, he's been and gone.

I wouldn't have a copy of BS7671 (or EICR) where I am working today as it's not as an electrician.

Moonlighting as a Nurse??

Moonlighting as a nurse, or moonlighting as an electrician. Who cares as long as HHD does a decent job at both?
