DIY - Trailer AC Continuously Running

First time DIY post here….

My wife and I bought an old, run down 70’s lake trailer and ran into an AC wiring issue.

Our thermostat is wired with white wire to W2, Red to RC, and jumper from RC to RH. There are two wires hanging by the furnace (old gas furnace that is out of commission due to the HOA park not having gas). When you cap these 2 wires, AC runs perfectly but will run until the wires are disconnected. I am assuming these 2 wires need to be ran to the thermostat so it can open/close the loop but no idea where they would possibly go.

DIYer here that is too cheap to hire a profession if it’s something I can do myself. I have an engineering degree so I’m not that stupid and can usually figure stuff out but electrical is one area that I’m not familiar with.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Call in an AC refrigeration tech to check the AC unit refrigeration side of things loss of refrigerant can throw you in the wrong direction when fault finding

'RC' and 'RH' are the inputs to the stat for cooling and heating, which in a home system might be fed by separate transformers. Here, they are presumably jumpered together as the same DC feed operates both functions. Then, the output you want for the A/C is 'Y', which becomes live from RC when cooling is needed. If there is no wiring attached to 'Y' or 'Y2' the the 'stat isn't wired to control the A/C. 'W2' is the output for second stage heating, so not relevant to the A/C.

This is the only picture I have as of right now. The other 2 wires hanging that are capped are red/white. Those colors didn’t pop up when researching AC wiring.
