Hi all, any ideas on how to implement fault protection in conductive location with restricted movement for hand held power tools(110v site tools)? As per sec 706 of BS7671, electrical separation is required but also reg n 413.3.3 & 413.3.6 states then on separated side NO connection to Earth, live parts or CPC of other circuits allowed, but site transformers do not meet requirements for this as they are center tapped to earth (CPC of supply circuit) as required by tools manufacturers. Am I confusing something or we practically can not use 110v site tools in above location? Then which tools and power supply for them could be used apart from battery powered ones in this situation?I just hope somebody came across this before or knows the way forward, thanks

Hi Tarasstav

not sure if it is what you are looking for & if someone could advise you with better Knowledge then great, but what about using an Isolating transformer not sure 1:1 or even 2:1 if it's 240 Volts ?
