I couldn't give a monkeys how busy they are, they should be contacting me to advise me that my order is going to be delayed by a month.
It's disgustingly poor customer service
true but that is the same with most companies now.

very few actually have helpful customer services, did you tell them you needed it urgently or to let you know if it was going to be delayed?

i know when i bought something on ebay i got a call that the item wasn't in stock and can either get a refund or wait a couple days

Hi gayowl I've just been issued a 1730 but didn't inherit its leads. With you saying the leads are cack are there any other leads that will suit this model or will I have to just order meggers?

Hi, Midwest said that Kewtech leads should fit earlier in this post. Not sure myself what would fit but they are 4mm banana type which is fairly standard I think. The Megger ones are not completely terrible, they are a bit annoying when you are changing between the clips and probes a lot. And the leads have stupid ridges that prevent you using a plug in test socket for your r1r2/r1rn tests. Though it is better to do r1r2 etc from the terminals really.

I would buy the megger ones again now I have got used to them.

I put brand new croc clips on brand new leads and then tape them on so that they never get removed. I then use a different set of leads for when I simply want probe tips.
By doing that, the croc clips leads will stay accurate for far longer, because you don't wear them out by changing the ends continually.

i reaply like the extech leads.

there 1.6m long which is very handy especially for a dmm

(double molded silicon leads, im using kewtech aligator clips with them)

Hi davesparks,

Sorry to hear that you are less than satisfied with the service received from us which is understandable if you have been waiting for a month for goods to arrive. We always endeavour to contact customers if an order has been placed that cannot be delivered in less than 3-4 working days so it seems strange that you have not bee contacted at the time of the order.

We are just trying to locate the order on our system so we can at least formulate a reply so your posts.

Can you confirm that the goods you are waiting for are:

TM-EL9809 Earth Leakage Clamp Meter
Megger AVO410 Multimeter
Extech CT40 Cable Identifier / Tester Kit

Best regards,
test-meter

...Service on orders, aside, that AVO410 multimeter is cracking, and has solved many a quandary for me. I got a pair of crock clips to add in the zip bag,and have been pleased i picked one with capacitance measurement, mixed in with the standard ranges.

Only this afternoon,i used it to identify a rare faulty ignition coil,on a Honda GX160 powered pressure washer, and it stays in the 4WD ,permanently.:goofy:

The Megger leads are a bit fiddly to pull apart to swap crocodile to probe ends. If you use a r1+r2 socket adaptor, you have to reverse the leads around to fit into the adaptor. On the recommendation on this forum, I got the Kewtech leads (think it's the ACC065, check with Test Meter). Much easier to swap the crocs/probes, & can be used with the Kewtech socket adaptor.

the kewtech leads are good, i use the croc clips on other test leads and they work fine (i get a better resistance using extech 1.6m leads and fluke tips than the fluke leads) on a dmm so cant null the leads
