Kitchen lights

The missus has bought some lights from wicks,that I am going to wire into a boxed ceiling void.
I am going to have this controled by a switch located on a island in the kitchen.
Their are 2 sets selv both with 3amp plugs.
I was thinking of connecting these to a fused cu hidden at the island distance is about 15 metres total.
Each set of lights is rated at 3 watt total.

my questions are if joining both sets together what fuse rating in cu 3 amp?
Can I use 1.5mm ?
Could you advise me on reasons behind answers as well for future reference!

6W= 0.02 amps so 3A is no problem and 1.5 is fine, you could even get away with 1mm.

Is it possible to wire it back to the light switch? Would be a much neater job

Thanks for reponse, iPod battery went .
would put on lighting circuit howether I am fitting a 4 gang vairilight remote control dimmer circuit and the lights bought are not dimmable. The island will have another switch for under kitchen unit lights and plinth lights and one over head light.
It's a kitchen dash living room, rather large conversion rewire.
