when fitting a new off peak db for storage heaters. what is required by the suppliers to allow connection by them. this is on a tt system with a 17th edition db covering the on peak supply and an rcd db off peak .the last time i added an off peak supply was through a single rcd, 2 tier blocking the dbs leaving a loop on the live to the off peak db for connection through the suppliers timeclock all in 25mm tails.

I just leave the L/N tails for them and they connect them how they see fit, either straight into the dual tarrif meter or via a nuetral block

thanks thats pretty much what others say but trying to get any detail from suppliers just ends in passing from department to department and back again.
