split concentric installation

my question is straight forward, can split concentric cable be installed underground, ie say outside buried to a large shed because i was ubder the impression that it was like armoured cable,

Offers no mech protection but having said that the DNO use it underground

DNO would normally use straight concentric with the outer cores being a PEN conductor.

the DNO are not governed by BS7671 though, so dont think that becase they use it, that we are able to.

Split con MUST be treated as if it were twin and earth.

Split con is no different to twin and skin and should also be treated as such when it come to RCD protection in walls etc.
