Wires near heating pipes

had a full rewire in house come to find these wires sitting on top.of central heating pipes is it unreasonable to ask the electrician to mive these.he has been back once to put a save plate inbetween but im not entirely happy,just want some advice

No that is not acceptable. It looks like the pipes were there first.
By the look of that , depending on where they are terminated , it looks like disruption to rectify .
Insulation on the pipes would be a start, but that plate is as much good as an ashtray on a motorbike.

That’s awfu. Regs refer several times to thermal effects. Had the same issue but the other way around - plumber put his pipes on cables that were there first.

Thanks that is what i wanted to know if he was not abiding to the safety regulations...it dosent take a genius to work it out tho.i just wanted confirmation which i have heard off 3 different people now.

Think we have all been there with some choice words referring to the plumbers that I won’t repeat here in case any ladies are listening!!

I don't see the reason for those being routed like that. I'd want them pulling back and routing under the pipes.
Where cables run near pipes I usually use short bits of lagging to protect the cables, but there is enough free space under the pipes in this case.

I have seen plenty faults caused by cables burnt through and live parts contacting the pipework.

Exactly are my thoughts of what might happen ... and the room is for a 5 week old baby
