Hi,

For months I'm looking for this piece without success:

A relay module powered by 220V and that can be controlled (toggled ON/OFF) by a wired NO (normally open) momentary switch (push button).

All I have found is some X10 micro modules that offer this functionallity but they very expensive as they are also X10. I'm looking for a simple way to ON/OFF a 220V appliance with a push button, the module has to be powered also by 220V I don't want to have to separate 12V (or similar) power supply.

Anyone know something like that?. Thanks a lot!.
 
A contactor can be made to latch on with a simple bit of wiring, granted you would also require a N/C stop switch in order to break the latch, cheers

I know is american but the theory is the same. One button for on and one for off.
 
I am obvoisly missing something here.
Can you please explain how that would work.
Having looked at the specs I am at a loss..................

A current is passed through a coil of wire. This attracts a piece of iron which moves a little lever with a hook on it.
The hook pulls on the teeth of a gear wheel one tooth at a time each time the coil gets current

This causes the relay to rotate the wheel in steps. This might then cause the wheel to turn electrical contacts on and off. - Google is your friend

Yes........ but the relay you referred to has not got that feature.... Google is indeed my friend LOL

Latching push button Schnieder do them, could then use standard relay or contactor will try and get you a part number

Yep.. that will do....
 
Think this is the one in white they also do illuminated ones in various colours RS 380 5224
