hi every one just having a bit of a blonde moment ( no disrespect to blondes) but struggling to know the the formula of this question.

If a singular circular section conductor has a diameter of 2.256mm what is the cross section area.

I know its 4mm but confused as to what formula to use.

thanks in advance

pi x r x r

r = 1.128

pi = 3.142

so csa = 3.142 x 1.128 x 1.128 = 3.998

once again telectrix you have saved me from another nervous breakdown you are a true scolar

thanks pal
